Overview

The following information reflects the Beef Cattle Institute’s commitment through the Animal Care Training program to maintain our website visitors' rights to privacy and the confidentiality of personal information. The BCI takes extensive measures to ensure the safety and security of its website servers and the information contained on them and to guard against divulging private information.

Information Collection

The ACT website collects information when you register. This information is sent to a national database. It is not released to any other user or third party.

Registration

In order to become certified for ACT, a user must first complete a registration form. During registration, a user is required to give contact information such as name and postal address.

Payments

All information received at time of payment is kept confidential.

Information Use

The ACT program takes every reasonable precaution to protect the confidentiality of users' personally identifiable information. The information will be used exclusively by the ACT and BCI for its pricing and certification records. Systems have been put in place to ensure that this information cannot be viewed individually by other members or third parties. Those who have access to this information would include: state coordinators and the discretion of your potential employer who uses ACT. Aggregate data about trends may be used in seminars or publications; however, no personally identifiable information will be used in such a manner.

Third Party Advertising

The association and corporate logos appearing on this website are delivered to users by organizations and corporations that have contributed to the tools appearing on this website. General information is used solely as general information to those organizations, in aggregate form only, and not tied to any personally identifiable information.

Log Files

Like most standard website servers, we use a tracking utility through Google Analytics. This includes internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, internet service provider (ISP), referring/exit pages, platform type, date/time stamp, and number of clicks to analyze trends, administer the site, track user's movement in the aggregate, and gather broad demographic information for aggregate use. IP addresses, etc. are not linked to personally identifiable information.

Though we make every effort to preserve user privacy, we may need to disclose personally identifiable information when required by law wherein we have a good-faith belief that such action is necessary to comply with a current judicial proceeding, a court order or legal process.
